Independence Day Messages from the Political Leader of the opposition Liberia First Movement, Mr. Sheikh Al-moustapha Kouyateh
Dear fellow Liberians,
As we approach July 26, a significant day in our nation’s history, let us come together and celebrate our independence with a renewed sense of unity and purpose. This occasion serves as a reminder of the remarkable journey undertaken by our founding fathers, who fought tirelessly to establish an African state built on principles of liberty, inclusivity, and justice for all.
Liberia’s independence is not merely a commemoration; it is a call to action. It is a reminder that we are the torchbearers of their vision, entrusted with the responsibility of realizing their dreams for a prosperous and harmonious nation. On this special day, let us reflect on the values that have shaped our country and recommit ourselves to upholding them.
Unity should be at the forefront of our celebrations. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and it is through embracing our differences and working together that we can build a stronger Liberia. Let us set aside our political, ethnic, and religious differences and focus on what unites us: our shared love for this land and its people.
Inclusivity and justice must be the pillars upon which our society is built. Let us strive for a Liberia where every citizen, regardless of their background, has equal opportunities to thrive. We must foster an environment where the voices of all Liberians are heard and respected, where no one is left behind or marginalized. Let us work tirelessly to eliminate corruption, strengthen our institutions, and ensure that justice is accessible to all.
As we celebrate our independence, let us also remember that our progress is not guaranteed. It requires the dedication and active involvement of every Liberian. Each of us has a role to play in shaping the future of our nation. Let us engage in constructive dialogue, promote peaceful coexistence, and contribute to the development of our communities.
On behalf of the Liberia First Movement, I extend our warmest wishes for a prosperous and joyful Independence Day. May this occasion serve as a reminder of our shared aspirations and inspire us to work together for a brighter future. Together, let us build a Liberia that we can be proud to pass on to future generations.
Happy Independence Day, Liberia
Good bless Liberia and us all.
Thank you
Liberia First Movement
