House Passes 7.6M  Recast Budget

The House of Representatives  has  passed a recast budget of US$ 769M, built on the foundation of thorough analysis and public input for economic growth, enhance social welfare, and invest in critical infrastructure.

“We are proud of the progress we have made with the recast budget, and it reflects our dedication to serving the best interests of our nation. The technical discussions that follow will enable us to refine the budget further, ensuring it remains robust, responsible, and future-ready,” stated Speaker Bhofal Chambers.

A fortnight ago the House  constituted itself into a committee-of-whole and passed the recast budget, underscoring a significant step towards fiscal responsibility and progress for the nation. The approved budget reflects the collective efforts of the legislators in addressing the evolving needs and challenges of the society.

 According to the House  Speaker,   Bhofal Chambers, the  lawmakers’ commitment to transparency and accountability  is dedicated to keeping the public informed throughout the technical discussions process. 

Despite the  passage, the House recognizes the importance of meticulous scrutiny and fine-tuning of the budget. In light of this, technical discussions will now commence to ensure that every aspect of the budget aligns seamlessly with the  long-term vision and fiscal prudence to optimize resource allocation and maximize the positive impact on the citizens’ lives.
