The former ruling party UP  of 12 years in power   is yet to settle its former landlord of rental fees owing the property owner (s).

The party that is seeking to unseat president George Weah of the CDC in the upcoming legislative and presidential elections is demonstrating gross irresponsibility by its refusal to settle its financial obligations to its  former landlord. Something that has led to a legal redress by the property owner.

“This also shows that the UP is not prepared for national leadership and a UP government could undermine Liberian businesses and domestic properties  owners if granted state power for the third time.’ a political pundit asserted.

The political pundit further stated that only an irresponsible and reckless people can behave like this. ” So if they are given power again, is this how they are going to treat the Liberian people or Liberian businesses , why are they acting irresponsible? The pundit asked..

It can be recalled that the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court commanded its Sheriff  to seize and expose for sale the lands, goods, and chattels of the Unity Party following a complaint filed against the party by the Worjoloh McClain Enterprise.

The enterprise alleges that the UP owes it the sum of US$200, 000 for rent of the previous party headquarters located in Congo Town outside Monrovia.

During the proceeding, defense lawyers interposed no objections to the fees owed the owners.
