The Female Journalists Association of Liberia (FeJAL) has signed a significant sub-grant valued at US$117,000 with its partner, Internews, under the USAID Media Activity program.
This sub-grant is a fundamental component of a five-year media initiative aimed at bolstering the capabilities of female journalists to deliver credible, relevant, and precise information. The program also encompasses mentoring sessions for women media leaders and fostering heightened involvement with local communities and stakeholders on pivotal issues, among other objectives. The signing ceremony marks the initiation of the third-year implementation phase.
During the signing event held over the weekend, FeJAL President, Madam Lisa Tenneh Diasay, commended Internews for its unwavering dedication to advancing capacity development and fortifying the media landscape in Liberia. She affirmed FeJAL’s steadfast commitment to ensuring the seamless execution of the project in accordance with the Scope of Work and activity plan.
