The Domafeign Liberia has conducted a day long training among local female farmers in Bong County on “Gender Equality for Climate-Justice” to strengthening women and girls with the knowledge, ‘skills, resources, connections, and decision making power-to achieve gender equality, resilience and to manage the negative impact of climate change.
Over 30 women and girls benefited from their Gender Equality for Climate-Justice training.
The training was at the Gbarnga, Bong County Women’s Center on Saturday December 23, last year among local female farmers in the county.
It was focused on preparing them to make a better decision in farming and yielding better products.
Meanwhile, the participants were enlightened on using different types of fertilizers or manure in their daily farming activities.
Also, the participants were encouraged to take what they learned back home, implement it and teach their neighbors to help improve everyone at once.
Domafeign Liberia, is a local Non Governmental Organization (NGO) operating in Montserrado, Bong and Gbaporlu counties, with support from the ActionAid Liberia.
Their primary focus is, gender and social rights advocate and improving the lifestyle of those living beyond the poverty line.
