Citizens Disenchanted Over Rep. Kolleh’s Failure to Fulfill Promises in Bong County

Several citizens from Bong County’s Electoral District #2 have voiced deep disenchantment with Representative James M. Kolleh for his failure to fulfill promises made to the people of Dorta.

Allegedly, Representative Kolleh committed during his election campaign to build a new bridge for the town, but he has not followed through on this promise.

This inaction has sparked outrage and disappointment among the citizens of Dorta, who now must continue using the old and dangerously dilapidated bridge.

The deteriorating condition of the bridge poses a significant safety hazard for both vehicles and pedestrians, the primary means of accessing the town.

The prospect of a new bridge, promised by Representative Kolleh, had given hope to the long-struggling citizens of Dorta. However, their expectations have now been shattered, leaving them feeling betrayed by their elected representative.

“We placed our trust in our representative and believed he would keep his promise. It’s been months now, and there’s been no progress. It’s time for him to take responsibility,” expressed John Flomo, a youth from Dorta, reflecting the community’s disappointment.

The citizens are now demanding accountability from their representative for his unfulfilled promises.

They are also urging the government to intervene urgently to address the broader issues of road infrastructure and bridge construction in the district.

Meanwhile, the electorate of Bong County’s Electoral District #2 expressed profound regret over their choice of Representative James M. Kolleh as their lawmaker.

According to citizens, Kolleh’s tenure in the Liberian parliament has been marked by a lack of presence and impact in the district.

“We were hopeful when we voted for Representative Kolleh, expecting development and positive change. Unfortunately, he has done nothing for us,” remarked Moses Johnson, one of the disillusioned citizens.

Specifically, the citizens are disappointed by Kolleh’s neglect in addressing critical local issues such as poor roads, inadequate access to clean water, and substandard healthcare facilities.

“We have pleaded with our lawmaker to prioritize these issues, but our cries have fallen on deaf ears. The roads are impassable, especially during the rainy season. Our children have to trek long distances for water, and our clinics lack basic equipment,” lamented Grace Sherman, another concerned citizen.

Adding to their frustration is Kolleh’s apparent absence from the district, with rare visits and infrequent community meetings to discuss developmental concerns.

“We elected him to represent us, yet we hardly see him. He spends most of his time in Monrovia, and even when he visits, he stays secluded in his mansion in Gbarnga,” emphasized Madam Sherman.

District #2 citizens are now calling on Kolleh to take immediate action to fulfill his campaign promises and to actively engage in improving their living conditions.

“We regret our decision to elect Kolleh. We demand that he begins fulfilling his promises and works towards enhancing our district,” Sherman concluded.

The citizens remain hopeful that their grievances will be acknowledged and addressed, vowing to hold Representative Kolleh accountable in the upcoming elections if he fails to fulfill his duties.

Efforts to contact Representative James M. Kolleh for comment were unsuccessful.
