The main opposition Unity Party Political Leader,Joseph Boakai visited the former Chief Justice, Cllr. Gloria Scott at the Monrovia Central Prison where she is in detention on murder charges, criminal conspiracy and false alarm to the security officers.
Baokai visited the prison facility on Wednesday, July 5, alongside his party Secretary General, Amos Tweh with thousands of his supporters.
However, the purpose of his visit was never disclosed to the public while many were yearning to hear from the UP Political Leader.
Cllr. Gloria Musu Scott is a formal Chief Justice who was recently charged and forwarded to court by the Liberia National Police with three of her Family members in the case involving the murder of her foster daughter, Charloe Musu.
In less than two weeks, Cllr. Scott’s defense team has filed the bail of motion twice to get her out of the prison while the trial is ongoing but the court denied all.
In another development, the Party has launched their counties tours Tomorrows July 6, aimed at reaching out to three counties, which include Margibi, Bong and Nimba.
According to the party Secretary General, Mr. Amos Tweh, one of the purposes for the tour is to demystify the rumor in the public about their political Leader, Joseph Nyumah Boakai being currently out of the country seeking medical attention.
