17 Comptroller  Salaries On Hold for Non-Compliance

The Comptroller and Accountant General of Liberia,  Elwood T. Netty, has issued a directive to withhold the March 2024 salaries of Comptrollers who failed to comply with the submission of their annual financial statements for FY2023 by the March 15, 2024 deadline.

Under this directive, the salaries of non-compliant Comptrollers will remain on hold until the submission of their respective reports to the Office of the Comptroller and Accountant General.

Those affected by the salary withholdings include Fambah Crayton of the National Food Assistance Agency (NFAA), Mallay Ndorbor of the Paynesville City Corporation (PCC), Nathaniel Vonhm of the Independent Information Commission (IIC), Winston Willie of the Liberia Board for Nurse and Midwifery (LBNM), Benard Kekula of the National Aids Commission (NAC), and Benchie Brown of the National Public Health Institute (NPHIL). 

Additionally, Samuel David of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), Boima Barclay of the Rural Renewable Energy Agency (RREA), Armstrong Dillon of the Agricultural and Industrial Training Bureau (AITB), Kiziah Morris of the Central Agriculture Research Institute (CARI), William Nyonyon of the Rubber Development Fund Incorporated (RDFI), and Onike Thomas of the National Housing and Saving Bank (NHSB) are also affected.

Others include Charlotte Kpannah of the National Insurance Corporation of Liberia (NICOL), Emmanuel Harmon of William V.S Tubman University, Togar Gibson of the University of Liberia, Allen Doe of the Liberia Electricity Regulatory Authority, and George Youh of the Liberia Airport Authority.

Meanwhile, Hon. Netty has emphasized that all Comptrollers, Financial Managers, and institution heads must submit their first-quarter (FY2024) reports by April 15, 2024. This reminder aligns with Section 19 of the PFM Regulations, which mandates the submission of accounts covering all Public Funds under their control for each quarter of the fiscal year to the Auditor General and the Comptroller General.
